Week at the John Campbell Folk School....

My mom and I headed to the John Campbell Folk School last week. It was our 6th mother/daughter trip at the folk school over the past 10 years. This time we took a fantasy painting class where we dabbled in many mediums and experimented with several creative projects.

This piece was a self portrait inspired by a list of attributes we jotted down about ourselves.

The beautiful scenery....

The amazing renovated blacksmith studio...might need to take some blacksmithing classes next time :).

The pigs at "Serenpiggity" pig rescue. We happened upon this wonderful sanctuary for potbellied pigs.

Mouse town....

Oh I am so jealous! Every year I receive their catalog in the mail and start swooning over all the listings. And every year something comes up and I never seem to have the extra $$$ to go. Guess I need to start a "John Campbell fund jar" and start tossing all my extra change and $1 bills in there. I would love to hear more about the instruction, lodging etc. and see more pics of what you made while you were there. Blessings, Nan
