Rooney's Rescue

A few of you were interested in Rooney's rescue "tail", so i will give you the SUPER short version. I tried to write the full version, but it is just too long, complicated and painful.

Rooney lived with a cat hoarder who moved away and left 15+ cats locked in his warehouse. I happened upon this awful situation and sought help for months to no avail. We broke the lock on the door and fed the cats who were living in horror and unbelievable filth. To make matters worse, the building was being torn down. Literally in the midst of the demolition, we trapped Rooney mid air as the walls fell around us. We trapped 2 other cats as well. The whole situation went from September to December and almost caused me to have a nervous breakdown! The visions and memories of all of it still haunt me. BUT, thankfully Rooney is safe and sound and will be loved to pieces for the rest of his life!!!! Despite everything he went through, he is the happiest, most wonderful boy EVER. His resilience is an inspiration to me. He has moved on and lives each day with joy and pure kitty bliss.

Here is where he came from.....

and look at him now!!! He always loves and helps care for our rescued foster kittens.

Oh that also makes me want to cry...
One sad things after another...

But you! rescuing and being vigilant about getting the cats out is so inspirational.... we all can help in so many ways.....

We had 3 cats (all rescue) we only have one now... but Milo our Himalayan I rescued as my brother went out hunting for feral cats on his ranch... became the love and dearest to our lives....

Rooney is a beautiful cat!!! And that he takes care of the rescue kittens is so sweet!

Omg..yes...its ...almost crying here!
Thank God for people like you!
Our chihuahua was rescued out of a backyard having to live in a wrecked car in his own feces. When they found him his ears were both black from frostbite, he is ok now and the sweetest dog ever!
These things are frustrating I understand that too well, but some of us are right there with you and you are soooo appreciated for what you are doing!!! Andrea.

Oh what a sad story but what a happy ending! It's just mind boggling the way some people mistreat innocent animals. Thank Heaven for people like you! Rooney is such a lucky handsome boy & loving big brother. I LOVE the picture of him & the little gray kitten lying side by side in the same pose! Just wanna hug them!
