Good news and a Giveaway!

I am happy to report that Miss Gisele, the siamese kitty I posted about this week, was adopted yesterday!!! A fellow TNR volunteer in a neighboring county emailed me that his brother was looking for a special kitty. His beloved Himalayan rescue cat had died in June and he was devastated. He had adopted him 10 years ago and loved him dearly. So, apparently, Gisele caught his eye and it was perfect timing. He was ready for a new, warm, furry body to share his life with. When I delivered her yesterday, she got right out of the carrier and started adventuring around his house. When her new dad would pick her up, Gisele would snuggle up against his face. He was completely enamored! She will be the princess in his household for sure. I am SO relieved to find a wonderful home for at least one of my fosters.

I haven't had any luck at all yet on my kittens, but hopefully soon someone will come along!

I can't believe it is July 30th and I haven't had a giveaway!!! Well, better late than never, right?! I am offering up a KittySnip again...whoever wins can pick one out from my Etsy shop. Here is my personal favorite, Emma.

How do you win??? You must leave a comment on this post and give me an idea for a name for the sweet stray kitty boy who showed up at our house (see last post for a close up photo). I had been calling him "Jack" and my husband keeps calling him "Steve". So silly! We think that human male names for a cat are so funny, but neither of those quite fit. We need your help, so give us some good ideas!! I will choose a winner on Monday.
Jack/Steve has come back every afternoon to sleep in the bed on the porch. It started pouring rain the other night and when we opened the door, he came flying in. I dried him off and he curled up on the sofa with us for awhile. I am going to take him to the vet tomorrow and get him combo tested and get his vaccinations and deworming done. Here are some new photos of him as well as a few of our regulars, Magee and Missy.

Which kitty is the real one :)??

He is a cutie! Seems to be a little Siamese in his mix, too!

I lean towards Taz or Chaz for him. Don't ask me why. Taz came first, then Chaz.

Our family likes human names for animals, too. I currently have a Simon, Delilah, Odie, Eleanor and Shel. (Shel is a turtle, and is short for Shelly or Sheldon, depending on its undetermined sex.)

And Emma is adorable! I haven't looked at your other Snippets yet, but I love that one!

Well, the first name that popped into my head when I saw him is Pierre! Love your creations!

Funny, but my habit is NOT to give kitties human names. Don't know why but I love the sound of certain words attached to cats. How about Oreo? Domino? Tuxedo (Tux for short)?

He is a handsome boy for sure. My first thought was "Bojangles" then I looked up the story behind that song and he certainly looks like he could lighten anyone's mood with a dance.

This from someone who has cats named Josie, Katrina, Jimmy, Jerry Lee, Mocha Joe and Chief.

Carrie, I'm sooo glad Gisele found a loving home! Your story brought tears of happiness to my eyes. That Jack knows a good thing when he finds it. Personally, I really like the name Jack and it seems to suit him. How about Jax?

He looks like Buster Keaton to me...so how about Buster Kitton?

So glad that beautiful Gisele has a happy new home!

Bless heart! Loved reading the adoption story, that is so wonderful!!! Hopefully some new "parents" will come along soon for your other fosters, mine too! I'm really getting so attached to mine :(

Since I won a last month's giveaway, I will pass on this one, even though Emma is sooo cute! However, I am going to nominate the name Martin (my hubby came up with that one) :)

Purraying for a negative combo test!

Hi Carrie, what an adorable Tux Kitty! You're such a good Mommy! I think you should stick with JACK SPRAT. That's a purrrrrfect name. Like Captain Jack or Jack Be Nibble your little baby is already used to that name anyway... He probably feels safe when you call him Jack too...

I have an award for you on my Blog's latest post. Please stop by & get your award when you get a chance.

Lots Of Head Rubs & Motor Boat Purrrs,

Hi Carrie...he is so charming. I think Homer might be fitting since he's intent on cuddling his way into your home and heart. His "odyssey" brought him to rest with you!

I love the pics of your newest kittens. They all seem to be doing so well. Gisele is quite a pretty little girl; I can't understand why anyone would dump her.

Their all fortunate to have you.

Hi Carrie! I'm with you ~ I think human male names are great for cats! I vote for EDWARD (as in Twilight). He looks a little vampirish to me, especially in the pic where he's meowing with his fangs showing. That, along with his golden eyes, pale (white) fur, black cape & showing up at dusk every day.
Glad your Gisele found a home & I LOVE your painted patio furniture!

Great news about Gisele!

We have three rescued cats (Molly, who's getting pretty old now, and Oliver and Annabelle, who are just over a year old). I can't imagine life without them. :)

How about Jasper? Although actually, I really like Jack!
