It is SOOOOO darn cold here, and i know it's even colder elsewhere. There is no doubt that we will all be singing with the birds when spring arrives!!! Of course, I am obsessing about the poor homeless cats and chained up dogs. I just don't know how they survive these frigid temps with no relief. The neighborhood feral kitties come and go here for meals and then disappear down the drains or into the woods as usual. BUT, 2 out of the 3 cats that inhabit our back porch trust us very much and actually came inside last night. That melted my heart. Just seeing them curled up by the fire for a little while gave me some peace. I will have to get some photos next time.
For now, i wanted to share photos of our Rooney in a folk art goose sled. They can make a bed out of anything! And 5 out of 6 of our furkids sleeping in our bed. They are spoiled rotten as it should be. That is Heidi (aka Boogie) in the blue blanket at the end of the bed, Meadow (aka Kookoo) is the brown tabby, and Rooney, Teeny and Finnegan are the orange tabbies lined up on their blue fleece mats. It's hard not to climb in there with them during the day :)!

Adorable!
Oh my gawd, they're cuties! Check my post today about my boyfriend's recent kitty rescue: www.ronnas.blogspot.com
I worry myself sick every winter about my feral kitties in the snow--and a couple weeks ago we had a 5-day deep freeze with temps as low as 8 degrees--and yet they always come through unscathed...to my great relief! I've heard that as long as they are well-fed and fueled up it is easier for them to stay warm...
These pics are just precious! I also love that your feral kitties come in last night and got a nice warm nap. All outdoor kitties should be so lucky. I totally dread winter because all I can think about are the outdoor kitties and dogs. I am so happy when I pull up and see them jumping out of the tote shelters, that is such a great feeling!
Love your room, looks great!

How absolutely adorable!! I love kitties...don't have any, just 2 very feisty Chihuahuas, but one of them follows me everywhere...even to the bathroom...she's become very needy after I took off twice to Austin to visit my daughter and grandchildren...she hates to be out of my site and now has become my "studio dawg." She has her own little bed under my work table and is perfectly happy there.
What a lovely sight ~ spoilt cats!

Love the pics! Wish I were there to cuddle all of your little furry folk!
